Summer 2010 Workshop
In this hands-on class, each student will learn how to create a successful Sheldon Theatre production. Students will act in a play and create the set, lights, sound, costumes and marketing for the final workshop performance. Students have the option to attend a regional theatre production. For Students Entering Grades 5 - 9
Time: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm Monday - Friday
Class on the final Friday will begin at 2:00 pm and continue until the end of the students' performance.
Date: August 9 - 13, 16 - 20, 2010
Place: Red Wing Public LIbrary - Foot Room and Sheldon Theatre
Cost: $200 class tuition
$25 Optional regional theatre admission- August 13; departure is 5:30 pm

After School Theatre Workshop
Students develop their performance skills by learning about acting tools such as vocal projection, character development, focus, concentration, and listening. Each nine-week session culminates with a performance on the Sheldon stage. In addition, students participate in the creation of the total production - develop sets, lighting, sound, props, costumes and marketing. Limited to 15 students.

THEATRE CAMP
Led by professional artistic directors from the historic turn-of-the-centry Sheldon Theatre in Red Wing, MN, our Theatre Camps are an outstanding opportunity for campers of all abilities to experience the complete process of creating a real production. Upon arrival at Camp Pepin, the campers will work in person with the directors in developing the script, music, scenery, and costume for their show, which will be performed for the public on-stage at the Sheldon Theatre, Friday evening at 7:00pm. Tickets will be on sale at the Sheldon Theatre's box office. No theatrical experience is necessary to register for this camp. (Entering grades 6 and up)
DANCE CAMP

Dance has been used by cultures all over the world not only as a form of entertainment and social interaction, but also as an artistic way of telling stories through music and movement. Held at Camp Pepin along the shores of the Mississippi near Red Wing, the Dance Campers will work with instructors from the acclaimed James Sewell Ballet in an intensive one week session studying, ballet, modern, pilates, improvisation, composition, dance history, and dance in film.
No dance experience is necessary to register for this camp.
